The Kris Catalog of Physique Art:

Dozens of Dom's drawings could be purchased through the Kris Studios catalog. Dom could draw two to three beautifully detailed drawings per day. Many of these drawings were photographed and made available thorough Kris Studios mail order business.

The Kris Catalog of Photography:

Chuck had a way with the guys… Photographing hundreds of beautiful men throughout his career. Making their photos available in print form for fans of the physique. Ask him today and he can tell you the name of the model and a cute little story to go along with it.

Mars Magazine:

Published under the name Mars Publishing Company beginning in May of 1963. "Mars" is probably the first magazine that could be called a "gay leather" magazine. Renslow featured art by Etienne and other artists as well as photographs of models from other studios.

Triumph Magazine:

On May 1, 1958, Renslow bought Irv Johnson's gym, the most popular gym in Chicago, and renamed it the Triumph. Here Renslow and Orejudos had access to the young models who appeared in their publications. At the shoots, Orejudos, the artist, would arrange the themes and poses, and Renslow, more the technician, would do the lighting and take the photographs. Only one issue of Triumph Magazine was ever published as an advertisement for the gym.

Rawhide Male Magazine:

A much larger magazine than it's predecessor. Rawhide Male featured more color photographs of the models and Etienne's artwork. This time the magazine had more of a country western flair but still featured the smooth jock type as found in Triumph. Rawhide Male featured full frontal nudes but once again Chuck found it very hard to get the caliber of models he had earlier to pose nude... Chuck did take nudes of all of my models, whenever he could from the very beginning. He promised some models he wouldn't use them for 15 years."

The Kris Films:

Yes, Kris Studios even put out movies. We are unsure of the year, but it is was in the 60s somewhere. The Cannes Film Festival made honorable mention of the movie "Blue Rose". There was demand for it, supply and demand. Customers wanted movies of Kris's models. Chuck took another course at a local college in Chicago. Once again Dom would write the scripts, be the director and Chuck would be the photographer.

Photographic Art:

Not only did Kris Studios sell beautiful physique photography to hundreds of its customers, they also provided photographs of Etienne's work. One of his early works was called Golden Pasha, a detailed harem scene (Also a Kris movie) compared to a later set called Escape, you can truly see how Etienne flourished in his artistic ability.

KRIS The Physique Photography of Chuck Renslow:

Written by Joseph W. Bean in 2007 with commentary from Chuck Renslow. This book contains 157 pages of Kris images, black & white and color, along with the behind the camera scoop on the models as told by Chuck himself.
