Rising energy costs are also taking a toll on our archival storage facility. We have had many exciting accomplishments in 2008 and have plans for impressive growth in 2009, but we need YOU to help us.
Some of the things we hope to do in the coming year include:
The formation of a speaker’s bureau
Developing a program for contemporary writers of kink fiction
Developing a program for members of the academic community who would like to use our resources for their research
Increasing the visibility of the L A & M outside of metro Chicago
Developing new “Road Show” exhibits and sending the Road Show to more and new venues
Bringing in more people to share their personal histories with us at Fireside chats
The LA&M is different in many ways. For one thing, many of the good things that happen here depend quite heavily on membership.

Individual Memberships
Student Membership: Signup/Renew
This is for students who are in rolled in a university or other related studies program. Proof of student status such as a copy of a student activity card etc. must be provided with membership application. Student members receive electronic copies of our monthly LA&M newsletter. Cost of this membership is $25.00
e-Membership: Signup/Renew
This is the basic individual membership of the Leather Archives & Museum. Memberships are valid through April 30th of the following year. Members receive electronic copies of our journal, "Leather Times", a listing on the donor page of the LA&M website, and free admission to museum exhibits. Cost of this membership is $50.00
Supporting Membership: Signup/Renew
This membership is called a supporting membership and you are recognized as a supporting member of the Leather Archives & Museum and paper copies of Leather Times and the Annual Report to Members are mailed to you rather than delivered electronically. Cost of this membership is $100.00
Voting Membership or $16.67 Club: Signup/Renew
Voting Member: For individuals who desire a more active role in the LA&M, Voting Members vote to ratify new members to the Board of Directors and are occasionally asked for their input on issues affecting the LA&M. This level includes all benefits of the Supporting Member, plus a $10.00 coupon good for use at our on-line e-bay store as well as two guests passes to the Leather Archives Museum. Cost of this membership is only $16.67 a month for 12 months or $200.00. (This membership allows you to enjoy all the benefits of giving $200 right away).
Bronze Membership: Signup/Renew
This membership level includes all Voting Member benefits, plus an invitation to the annual President's Reception held during International Mr. Leather weekend and a $15.00 coupon for use at our on-line e-bay store. Cost of this membership is $300.
Silver Membership: Signup/Renew
This membership level includes all Bronze Membership benefits, plus your choice of ether a Kris Studio T- Shirt or a LA&M T- Shirt along with a $25.00 coupon good for use at our on-line e-bay store, in addition four guest passes to the Leather Archives Museum. Cost of this membership is $500.00
Gold Membership: Signup/Renew
This membership level includes all Silver Membership benefits, plus an IML package, which gets you into all events that IML sponsors, including the closing party at “The House of Blues”. Also you will receive the book, “IML 25 years of Champions”, a $50.00 coupon good for use at our on-line e-bay store and 6 guests passes to the Leather Archives Museum. Cost of this membership is $1,000.
Platinum Membership: Signup/Renew
This membership level includes all Gold Benefits, plus $100 of gifts from our annual LA&M Museum giveaway. In addition, a $200 coupon good for use at our on-line e-bay store and our name on our yearly giving wall. Cost of this membership is $5,000.
Organization/Corporate Memberships & Donations

This membership level includes all Voting Member benefits, plus an invitation for 2 to attend the annual President's Reception held during International Mr. Leather weekend. Also you will be recognized at our annual Presidents award night, held later in the year, listed on our website and a $50.00 coupon for use at our on-line e-bay store. Cost of this membership is $1,500.
Tony’s Society: Signup/Renew
This membership level includes all Presidents Club Membership benefits, plus your choice of ether a Kris Studio T- Shirt or a LA&M T- Shirt along with a $150.00 coupon good for use at our on-line e-bay store, in addition four guest passes to the Leather Archives Museum, and free use of the LA&M Museum for a club or organization fundraiser.
