The Etienne Auditorium at The Leather Archives & Museum (LA&M) offers a state-of-the-art presentation/performance space conveniently located on the North side at 6418 N. Greenview (Greenview and Devon). There are a multitude of transportation options with easy access to the LA&M for your guests and participants.

The Etienne Auditorium has the following amenities:

A raised stage (22 x 16 feet)
A 164-seat auditorium
Sound system
10 house lights
22 stage lights (with an ample supply of gels to choose from)
A working, tuned piano
A podium with a detachable microphone
2 wireless lapel microphones and 4 hand-held microphone
An operating booth equipped with a standard lighting and sound board; a CD player, cassette player, DVD, VHS, a computer with Microsoft Office, and internet access
An LCD projector (hooked up to cassette player, CD player, DVD, VHS, and your personal or LA&M’s computer in operating booth)
One large screen for projection on stage (this can be covered if not in use)
3 portable screens (2 at 3 x 3 feet, one 6 x 6, and one 9 x 6)
WIFI Access
Phone connections for conference calls or other uses
10 tables (6 people to a table) with ample chairs
3 entrances/exits
Dressing room space

LA&M’s auditorium space can be used for many kinds of events such as:
One-time workshops or workshops in series

Rehearsals
Staged readings
Community-based and organizational group meetings
Group language classes
Yoga and movement classes
Burlesque classes
Burlesque events/shows
Reading groups
Film events and film classes
Parties and social gatherings
Conferences
Speaker and Speaking Events
Music and concert events
Class trips for gender and sexuality and American and public history classes
Group television viewing engagements
Performance and theater events of any kind

The LA&M is a recognized not-for-profit 501(c)3 archive and a museum dedicated to “the compilation, preservation and maintenance of leather lifestyle and related lifestyles [including but not limited to the Gay and Lesbian communities], history, archives and memorabilia for historical, educational and research purposes.” The LA&M welcomes performances and events that explore issues of sex, sexuality, and gender as well as performances and events unrelated to these areas of inquiry.
