JJ's Clubhouse Bar Night

The LA&M kicked off the 2010 Road Show year in the Gateway City. I loaded up the Janet Ryan photograph exhibit in the car, stocked up on LA&M t-shirts, pins and paddles and headed south. The show was sponsored and organized by Mike Lunter, Mr. Missouri Leather 2009.

Before the exhibit was even set up, we received an interesting addition to the collection. Mike Lunter donated his Mr. Missour Leather 2009 armband. He received two of them when he won the title and said he only wears one at a time, so the other was donated to the museum. We have many titleholder belts, vests and sashes in the collection, this may be the first titleholder armband. Later that evening, I had the pleasure of meeting Randy who made the armbands.

Once the exhibit was set up, JJ's started filling up. I got the chance to talk to leathermen, men who came to the bar to cruise and the guys tearing up the dance floor. Janet's photography is great at transcending all levels of erotic interest. The bar was filled with men from Blue Max CC, Gateway MC, TSAURS, and a few other clubs. It was nice to see old friends and meet new ones from these clubs.

I was very happy to be set up right next to TSARUS. They were holding a raffle, doing boots and promoting their upcoming AIDA run. They donated $150 of their raffle proceeds to the Leather Archives .. thank you TSARUS!
