Filthy Food

Directed by T. Arthur Cottam, 2006, USA, 5 minutes. Eat it. Lick it. Suck it. Swallow it. Relax, it's just food.

In extreme close-up, first with her fingers, then with her lips and mouth, then with her teeth, we see a woman with red fingernails, lipstick, and dress engage in erotic play with a nectarine, a banana, two Snoball cupcakes, a jar of peanut butter, a hotdog in a bun, a small chocolate-covered donut, a dough sack, red licorice whips, and a trio of liquids and semi-soft material that have the color and texture of bodily excretions. In the background, a chorus hums and then sings an up-tempo version of "Pussy Puff."

Hitchcocked

Directed by David Young, 2006, USA, 8 minutes. A hot casual-sex encounter stirs up some surprising truths about love, life, online-dating...and danger.

HITCHCOCKED is neither pastiche nor parody. Yet the director freely borrows from the Master's trademark approach toward scaring an audience. It’s a tight, dark and edgy, psychological thriller. And as is typical of his work, layered with human behavioral insight, humor, and a strong dose of social commentary. HITCHCOCKED is a sexy, scary look at contemporary urban gay issues. And as it offers a stark contrast to the repressed world of BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN, is likely to resonate well with thoughtful audiences.

Guy 101

Directed by Ian Gouldstone, 2005, UK, 8 minutes. A man hears a story about a hitchhiker from the other side of the Internet.

"Guy 101 is a true story about someone the director met on the internet. The film is a response to experiencing a very human tale through such a cold medium. By using graphical user interfaces as a narrative filmic tool, it attempts to inject some humanity into the banal utilitarian imagery of modern computers." Guy 101 was the winner of the best short animation Orange British Film Awards (BAFTA) 2007.

Blue Rose

Directed by Chuck Renslow and Dom Orejudos, 1965, USA, 12 minutes.

This is definitely the most distinctive of all Kris Studio films. In The Blue Rose more than any other film that survives to be examined, photographer Chuck Renslow—whether he intended it or not— achieved what can be seen as the motion-picture equivalent of his physique photography esthetic. At the same time, Dom Orejudos, the scenario writer and director created a something that can be recognized as a complete ballet, except for the part about the dancing.

“A very unusual and artistic physique movie, highly recommended in its color version, starring two popular Kris models of exceptional muscularity. Steve Kotis is a Grecian shepherd lad in classic times who becomes enchanted and changes into a blue rose growing beside a pond in a meadow. Later Ralph Kleiner, a stalwart fellow, happens along and is in his turn enchanted by the blue rose growing by the same pond.”
