Wheels magazine, published by Cycle MC from May of 1968 to April of 1982 [132 issues], chronicled the MC scene as it developed around the world. It was published monthly (sometimes bi-monthly) and distributed to Cycle MC members and other interested individuals that subscribed. The publication sold inexpensive ads to partially offset printing and mailing costs. Ads were purchased by other clubs to promote their runs, bars to promote their special events, and individuals who owned their own businesses. A subscription to Wheels Magazine cost $3 (members) / $4 (non-members) for 12 issues in 1968 and $15 (U.S. delivery) for 12 issues in 1981.
Wheels published news and reports from Cycle MC activities, but also invited other clubs to submit run reports, articles, club news and general gossip. Wheels also reprinted articles from other club newsletters and mainstream media on occasion. The newsletter was edited by Don Daily [DD], who was at or near the center of Cycle MC from the beginning to the end.
