The Colors of Cycle MC web exhibit has been mounted to display artifacts from Cycle MC’s vibrant and colorful 14 year history.   The exhibit also seeks to provide information about Cycle and its publication, Wheels Magazine.
The Cycle MC Banners Collection
This exhibit is filled with images from banners collected by Cycle MC as they toured the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia.  Banners were also given to the club as they hosted clubs from around the world when they visited New York City and Fire Island.   This collection of banners was donated to the LA&M by Gayle Rubin of San Francisco, CA.   Rubin received the collection from the late Alan Selby, also from San Francisco.   Selby had received the collection from Tom D. (a former Cycle MC Member) from Vallejo, CA who had received the banners from the estates of two other former Cycle MC members, Roy I. and Gus T.   The LA&M thanks Gayle Rubin, Alan Selby, Tom D. for their custodial efforts and safekeeping as the colors traveled from New York to California to their final resting place at the LA&M in Chicago, where they are made available to the world.
