Jeffrey StorerJeffrey Storer

Jeffrey Storer, Jeffrey Storer, a Chicago native, started volunteering for the Leather Archives & Museum in 2001. In 2003, Jeff gave up his own construction & home improvement/inspection business to become the Director of Operations of the LA&M. Jeff travels to many fetish events with the LA&M Road Show and is very active in the leather community. He is currently an associate member of the Chicago Hellfire Club and the Chicago Leather Club.

In addition to maintaining the facilities, Jeff also maintains the LA&M’s complex computer system and the LA&M website. He is also in charge of purchasing office, maintenance, archival and computer equipment. He catalogs and maintains specific LA&M collections including Pins, Club Colors, and Periodicals. Jeff is also responsible for the digitization of the LA&M’s Multi Media Collection and the processing of new Acquisitions to the collections. Additionally, he maintains the Teri Rose Memorial Library and the many LA&M Social Networking sites (such as Facebook and Twitter). Jeff also creates and mounts most of the exhibits at the LA&M including his favorite, the Dungeon Exhibit. Jeff operates and maintains all aspects of the LA&M’s retail and online stores along with running one of the LA&M’s largest fundraisers, the International Mr. Leather Silent Auction held every May. Jeff is our guru of all things technology-related at the LA&M and has played an integral role in the development of the LA&M as an active community center, specifically by implementing his expertise in lighting and sound design for diverse LA&M programming that ranges from plays and film events to burlesque shows and fireside chats. Jeff’s unique problem-solving skills make him an invaluable asset to the Leather Archives & Museum.

In his off time, Jeff enjoys working on his home in Evanston where he lives with his husband Rick, their Sun Conure Huey and their cat Tamika.
