Alex WarnerSarah Humble

Sarah Humble's first experience with organized leather was in 1987 when she showed up at the Mid Atlantic Leather Contest - and they let her in. In 1994 she became the first American Leatherwoman and spent 2 years traveling the country meeting great people and judging contests.

She is the winner of 3 Pantheon of Leather Awards including Woman of the Year in 1996. She has been Head Judge at International Ms Leather for the past 5 years.

Professionally Sarah was a District Manager for a game store chain and opened their east coast operation in the late 1980's. She was also the Leather Editor for the Baltimore Gay Paper for over 5 years. In 1996 she and Glenda Rider opened Play House Studios in Baltimore Maryland. Sarah was a co-founder of FIST (Females Investigating Sexual Terrain) in Baltimore.

Sarah's new project is the Women's Leather History Project at the LA&M.

Sarah now resides in Arvada, Colorado with her partner of 10 years Leigha Fleming and their dogs.
