Biographical Note

Glenda Rider, Ms Baltimore Eagle 1992, was the first woman to hold an Eagle Bar title. Her awards include Pantheon of Leather’s Woman of the Year and Black Rose’s Distinguished Elder. She founded the Lesborados in 1991. She co-founded FIST (Females Investigating Sexual Terrain) in 1992 and Play House Studios and Gallery in Baltimore, Maryland in 1996 with Sarah Humble. Rider owned and produced International Ms Leather from 2006 to 2013. She has also served on the Board of Directors of the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom (NCSF) and the Leather Leadership Conference (LLC).

Sarah Humble was Ms Baltimore Eagle 1994 and Ms American Leatherwoman 1994. She has judged International Ms Leather, International Mr Drummer and Women’s International Leather Legacy. Her awards include Pantheon of Leather Woman of the Year in 1996 and Reader’s Choice Woman in 1998. From 1995 to 2005, she wrote The Leather Link column in the BGP (Baltimore Gay Paper, later the BGP and Mid-Atlantic Gay Life). Humble was a Leather Archives and Museum board member and in 2006 she co-founded the Women's Leather History Project with Catherine Gross.
