Detailed Description of the Collection

Series 1: Scene Book, 1985-1990
A typewritten journal of scenes documented by Charles B. and Peter Fiske from 1985-1990. Peter and Charles were best friends/play partners from 1985 until his death in 2010. Charles counted his strokes/lashes and gave Peter an annual report each year of the number and implements. Charles was a fraternal member of The 15 Association from 1989 until 2004, and was Secretary and club Archivist from 1990 to 2008. Charles and Peter met about twice a month for over 20 years. The book’s pages are numbered from i-376; there, the numbering begins again from 1-128. The last page was typewritten on the computer and contains a dated entry, but no page number. Therefore, the last page of the scene book is referred to as page [129] by the processor.
Series 2: Photographs
Series 2 contains personal photographs of Peter with his leather family, including Andrew, Don, Coulter “Colt” Thomas, and his play partner Charles. This series also includes photographs of miscellaneous gatherings, travel, private in-home and members-only dungeon play parties, club events and runs. All provenance found on photographs within this series, including names, dates, and locations, were original to the collection and written by Peter.
The photographs were originally donated in four half inch binders; however, the processor removed the photographs from their original binders because the photographs were glued onto black construction paper behind non-archival fold-over sleeves. The processor removed the photographs from their original binders and placed them in archival quality sleeves and binders. The processors retained the original order when re-housing the photographs, and are loosely grouped together chronologically and/or by event. The series contains 5 photographs albums housed in 1 Bankers Box.
