Biographical Note

Midori, also known as Fetish Diva Midori (a title given by modern primitive Fakir Musarif), is an author, educator and sex positive activist residing in San Francisco, CA. Midori came to the United States from Tokyo, Japan. She was enlisted and commissioned as a US Army Reserves Intelligence Officer while earning her degree in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. Midori was a professional dominant (retired in 2001), author of books, magazine and websites. She is the owner of Fire Horse Productions in San Francisco, CA. She teaches classes about sadomasochism, erotic bondage, Shibari, dominance and submission, and other sex positive topics.

Administrative Information

Processing Information

This is an open ended collection, with materials deposited on a semi-regular basis by the donor. Printed out emails were not donated by the donor, but rather printed out by Leather Archives then Executive Director Joseph W. Bean. The Ms. World Leather documents were removed from the three ring binder. The binder has been retained in the collection. The binder tabs remain with the binder contents. The arrangement of the printed out emails is necessarily artificial. The Ms. World Leather materials and packing list materials are in their original order.

Detailed Description of the Collection

The collection consists of materials from Midori's travels, including packing lists and preparation notes. The collection also consists of emails (printed out by Leather Archives' then Executive Director Joseph Bean). The collection also consists of a three ring binder containing materials from the 2001 Ms. World Leather competition, where Midori served as a judge.

The travel preparation documents are mostly packing lists for trips ranging from 2001 -. Some trips also include iteniraries. The printed out emails are from 1999 - 2002. Generally, these are emails broadcast by Midori to her own electronic listserve. The Ms. World Leather binder contains information about the contest, contestant applications and biographies, along with scoring and contest information related to the judges.
