Known to his mother and his banker as Randall, the rest of the world knows this accomplished S/M player as The Bear Man (close friends call him Bear). Some 30 years ago the Bear Man’s first husband wanted to be tied up out in the barn; a top was created. Trained by bottoms ever since, The Bear Man put his experience to use as a founder and chair of Fort Lauderdale's Leather University Dungeon Series from 1996-1998.

The Bear Man is currently a Manager of The Werks Company, which owns two LeatherWerks retail stores in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and several websites serving the needs of the Leather/Fetish/BDSM communities, including BootWerks.com, PaddleWerks.com, and LeatherWerks.com. He also takes the store on the road a few times a year, bringing LeatherWerks® PaddleWerks® and BootWerks® to events such as Mid Atlantic Leather Weekend and International Mr. Leather.

The Bear Man does not limit his community activity to the Leather Community. In addition to his Leather community activities such as membership in Delta International and the Leather Archives & Museum, The Bear Man is also a community activist in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. A member of the Board of the Leather Archives and Museum since May of 2000, the Bear Man is currently Treasurer of the Leather Archives & Museum.
